Helldivers 2 Leviathan Health Stats and Armor Breaking Points (3 อ่าน)

23 มิ.ย. 2569 12:50

If you’ve been diving into high-difficulty operations lately, chances are you’ve already crossed paths with the Illuminate Leviathan. This massive airborne terror is an absolute nightmare to deal with if your squad rolls up unprepared. It feels like throwing pebbles at a brick wall until you understand exactly how its health scaling and armor mechanics work. Taking down a Leviathan requires immense, coordinated firepower, so let’s break down the actual internal numbers and structural weak spots so you can bring these monsters down efficiently.

The Raw Numbers: Leviathan Health Stats

First off, let's look at the sheer scale of what we are fighting. TheLeviathan boasts a massive 15,000 base health pool. However, due to how body integrity scales based on where your shots land, its actual Effective HP ranges anywhere from 18,000 to 22,000.

Base HP: 15,000

Effective HP: 18,000 – 22,000 (depending on section mitigation)

Armor Value: AV5 (Across the entire outer hull)

Explosive Resistance: 35% on most of the main body

The biggest hurdle here is that Armor Value 5 (AV5) outer hull. Standard primary weapons and medium armor-piecing support gear will literally just bounce off. You absolutely must utilize high-tier Anti-Tank (AT) weapons to break through this outer casing before you can even think about exposing its inner components to heavy-penetration support weapons.

Furthermore, standard explosive stratagems face a 35% damage mitigation across most of its hull. The only exceptions are the teleport disks and exposed innards, which feature 0% explosive resistance and take full, unmitigated damage once peeled open.

Armor Breaking Points & Weak Spots

Because chipping away at a 15,000+ health pool is a massive waste of ammunition, your entire strategy should revolve around targeting and destroying specific break points to open up vulnerable zones.

The Back Fin: This is generally the fastest and most reliable break point to target at the start of an engagement. Shattering the back fin immediately exposes the inner machinery to heavy-penetration weapons, bypassing the initial AV5 hull protection.

The Tail: Taking down the tail requires focused anti-tank pressure. It usually takes about 2 solid heavy AT shots (such as from a Recoilless Rifle) to break. Once destroyed, it opens a massive, highly critical weak spot that weapons like the Laser Cannon or Heavy Machine Gun (HMG) can easily exploit to rapidly melt the rest of its health pool.

Underbelly Blue Disks: These function as the Leviathan's propulsion and engine systems. There are three blue disks in total. If your squad manages to shatter all three, they will begin to violently spark, severely compromising the creature's overall structural integrity and opening it up to massive damage.

Front and Back Wings (Fins): These individual wing segments possess roughly 6,000 HP each. Breaking them systematically strips away the vessel's primary armor layout, reducing the protection layer down to AV4+. This allows medium-heavy armor-piercing weapons to deal consistent direct damage.

Recommended Loadouts & Tactics

Going into a match expecting to deal with a Leviathan blockade requires a dedicated loadout strategy. Here is what has been proving most effective on the frontlines:

Recoilless Rifle: A staple choice for squad coordination. It takes approximately 5 to 6 well-placed Recoilless Rifle shots directly to the critical fins or tail to completely drop a Leviathan from the sky. If you have a teammate assisting with team-reloads, you can neutralize the threat in seconds.

The Spear: This heavy lock-on launcher is incredibly potent against these targets. Because the Leviathan is an airborne threat, the Spear easily achieves a clean lock from a distance, tracking and hammering vital components without requiring you to get dangerously close.

Thermite Grenades: A great passive damage choice. If you run armor with the grenade-boosting passive (Engineering Kit), you can carry extra thermites. Tossing 2 thermite grenades onto an armor generator or weak point delivers immense, burning damage-over-time that chips away at its massive integrity.

Heavy Stratagems: Standard offensive stratagems are crucial for cracking the hull. The Eagle Airstrike and Orbital Railcannon Strike are perfect for breaking those AV5 outer plates. Additionally, the VIA Gatling Barrage is highly effective at stripping down these airborne giants when deployed while they are hovering at high altitudes.

Managing these behemoths on higher difficulties is all about team focus. If everyone shoots a different part of the hull, you're going to run out of ammo long before it goes down. Pick a component—whether it's the tail or the back fin—crack it open with heavy anti-tank fire, and then let your teammates with medium-penetrating weapons lay into the exposed weak spot to finish the job.
